“Monday July 16 is National Check Your Pay Day. Do you know whether you're being properly paid?
Note that award wage levels have gone up from 1 July. Therefore, all workplace agreements and contracts need to be checked to make sure what they say about the legal minimum.
Some workers on workplace agreements or over-award contracts will be entitled to a pay rise, because the award rate is the absolute minimum an employer can pay a worker.
Workers should check their wages against the legal minimum rates to ensure they are not being underpaid. Do seek advice from your workplace Delegate or Representative where needed.”
